About Meditation – In Memory of Nico

This post (below) was written by my very talented student, Nicolas Giordani, who parted from this earthly realm early last week.  Nico was a very knowledgeable Meditator, and a very dedicated practitioner, and as I agree with his appraisal of our collective situation and his understanding of Meditation, I would like to share his writings here in his memory.  Helping Nico say what he wanted others to know is, I feel, something small I can do to honor him as a student and a friend.  I hope you enjoy it.  (NOTE: I have made small edits with respect to spelling and grammar, as English was not Nico’s native language.)  Also included are some videos and links that he shared with me and others.

About Meditation – for those who feel sorrow about our human situation today

Meditation is the key to Connect to a deeper level of perception from which one can access a deeper level of Understanding.  It is the only way to fully comprehend the phenomena of life, the universe and nature in general.  Meditation shows you that the Truth dwells between what science and religions say.  In fact, Meditation shows us that science and religion actually agree without knowing it; they simply use different words to talk about the same thing.

For instance, religion refers to God as the origin of the world whereas science refers to the quantum field.  The most brilliant genius of the century, Albert Einstein and Max Planck knew it was the same thing.  To the surprise of these 20th century physicists, the Field of Energy in which everything originates is actually Conscious.  There are incredible experiments that have been done thousands of times that prove it; the most famous one is called the double-slit experiment. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfPeprQ7oGc

God is not a big bearded man watching us from the top of a cloud, but that same Omni-potent and Infinite Field that looks like nothing and cannot be seen, yet is Conscious of Everything.  God, the Tao, the Brahma, the Holy Spirit, the Quantum Field, the Unified Field, the Matrix, and even the Force as described in Star Wars – as funny as it may sound – refer to the same thing.

Science, Religion and Art are three different approaches of the Truth.  However, Meditation is required to fully Understand why and how, because Meditation does not approach the Truth with conceptual ideas, but with an actual experience.

Let me give you an example to better describe what I’m talking about:  If I tell you about a piece of music that you’ve never heard, can you really know how it feels to listen to it?  The best I can do is sing you the main melody, but you’ll have very little idea how the song actually sounds in its full glory.  When the song is performed, there are several instruments playing at the same time and I can only imitate one at a time with my voice.  Hence, my voice can imitate accurately a melody or pitch, but it cannot accurately imitate the sound of each instrument.  Can a human voice imitate a piano playing chords?  No, because chords have several notes at the same time – something my voice can’t do.  So in short, if the piece of music is very simple, with only two instruments, you might have a reasonable idea of how it sounds when I mimic it with my voice, but if we are talking about a symphony where over a hundred instruments play at the same time, there is absolutely no way you can know accurately how it sounds, or any way I can accurately imitate it so as to tell you.  If instead I give you my Ipod and put my headphones on your head, you can hear the symphony and now you “experience” it; you know exactly how it sounds.

Now, when quantum physics tells you that the universe may have eleven dimensions, do you have any idea of how eleven dimensions look?  You’ve always experienced and seen the world in three dimensions – not because this is all there is but because your consciousness is very limited – therefore your sight perception of the universe is limited to three dimensions.  If you have a good visualization ability, you might be able to imagine eleven dimensions or invent a conceptual idea of it, but you still won’t really know it.

Believe it or not, with a certain level of Meditation you can start seeing and experiencing the other dimensions which constitute the “subtle” in contrast to the “material” that we readily see in the three dimensions.

The quantum physicists know that at least eleven dimensions exist.  They know that these dimensions are not far away from us, but in the same space where we stand.  Many quantum physicists even believe there are other beings that live in these dimensions – but they have not been able to prove it yet (as far as I know).  These beings are what religions and spiritual teachers refer to as angels, and spirits.  They are non-material but have a consciousness too, usually higher than ours because they are not limited by the material realm. Yes they exist and we can communicate with them through Meditation and even if we are not aware of it, they communicate with us by inputting inspiring or destructive ideas in our mind, depending on their nature.

Now, most average scientists and average religious people believe in what they study but don’t really know via actual experience.  Most religious people may believe that there are angels taking care of us and that there is a God who created the world, but they have never seen any of them or had any tangible experience that makes them say for sure, “I Know, because I have seen.”

Likewise, scientists, through experiments and other technological tools, have understood that there are more dimensions that we can see, but they don’t really know how they look or what they are like.  The smartest scientists – who have a wider perspective – understand that religions are born from the experiences of mystics who Understood the universe with a much wider perception.  Some of these scientists therefore try to find scientific ways to communicate with the beings they suppose exist, based on the religious texts.

Max Planck and Albert Einstein who were both geniuses (Einstein had the highest IQ possible), besides their scientific reviews, wrote about God and religions because they knew that both science and religions were talking about the same thing.  (http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Max_Planck)  Meditation is the tool to expand the Consciousness so that it is not limited to the average perception of the material world (which means basically using a maximum of 15% of your brain… Sad not to try for a little more…).

As you know, some of us use more of the left hemisphere of the brain (which is the more scientific, rational part of understanding) and others use more of the right side (which is more the creative or imaginative part).  Neither is better than the other; to believe so would be as stupid as saying that male is better than female, or the opposite.  They each complete each other.  Meditation allows you to merge the two hemispheres and their respective ways of perception in order to embrace a higher level of experience.

Meditation is the only tool that allows you to, not just believe, but to Know!

Meditation is the Way to Understand what the mystics were talking about when they wrote these funny texts that sound like Santa Claus stories for children.  If you expand your Consciousness to its full potential, you will Realize, with a higher level of Understanding, that all major religious texts from all around the world reflect the Truth and that they all ultimately agree perfectly.  Quantum science too is a reflection of the Truth – in as far as its own way of understanding can reach.

It is complete madness that stupid and evil-minded people have hijacked these deep and brilliant texts and used their misinterpretations to control the people, to separate them from each other, and rule to over them.  And it is quite sad, because the Unified Field of Consciousness is Truly the Field of Bliss, Unity, and Compassion; and there is nothing of fear, conflict and separation in that Pure, Creative Field.

Meditation is the tool to Connect to that Ultimate Field and to set us Free from our suffering and stupidity.  And this is not just a conceptual idea; it is an experienced and palpable Truth.  Meditation is the tool to unleash the full potential of the human being.

If you feel desperate and full of sorrow looking at our world nowadays, you are right, because it is a chaos like never before.  Lots of people argue that it’s always been this way, but believe me, it’s never been this bad.  If you feel like humanity is going straight into a wall, especially because of environmental issues, you are right – because there is nothing that can be done with our usual, same-old tools.  Economic theory and politics are clearly broken tools, and we all see that technology keeps trying to solve problems by creating new ones.

Yet it is appropriate to feel sorrow because it means you have compassion and a certain level of awareness.  And this means you have the potential to succeed in Meditation.

There is an incredible, beautiful and Truly Great Answer to the major issues that the world is facing nowadays.  This Ultimate Solution is accessible through Meditation.  If you feel sorrow but also curiosity and courage, go for it – with patience, sincerity, determination, and dedication.  There are a few worthwhile and valid techniques of Meditation available most everywhere in the world.  Yes, it takes time to find the right ones because there are also so many fake or inaccurate techniques.  But those who Seek with sincerity always Find, it is one of the Greatest Mysteries of the Universe.

As far as I know, the last book that Nico read was, “Tao: the Way of God.”  He recommended it for everyone to read:
